A few weeks ago, the Glaucoma Research Foundation posted a touching article where glaucoma-sufferer Tracy Hammond speaks up about dealing with glaucoma his whole life.

While there is no current cure for glaucoma, scientists and researchers are steadily working towards better treatments or even a cure.
Ever since he was three weeks old, Tracy, now 39, has bravely faced dozens of eye surgeries for congenital glaucoma. He developed a detached retina in his left eye, leaving that eye with no sight since age 6. He also has had to deal with cataracts. This is the reality of living with glaucoma that many people face. While there is no current cure for glaucoma, scientists and researchers are steadily working towards better treatments or even a cure, possibly even in Tracy’s lifetime.
